All the principals involved aren't talking about it; yet in many ways it's the only question worth asking now - will Jake Locker turn pro? Coming into the 102nd Apple Cup, neither Washington nor Washington State had much to play for, but with a 1,000 yard season within his reach, redshirt freshman RB Chris Polk carried the Dawgs to a 30-0 shut out of the Cougars in front of 68,697 fans at Husky Stadium.

There were only 12 seniors listed in Washington's full depth chart for their last game, against OSU. Of the 27 listed in the offensive depth, only four were seniors and only two were starters recruited and signed into the program. Out of 28 listed players on defense, only seven were seniors - but again only three starters. There is only one senior of 11 listed players in the kicking game.

We're back at it, and the Washington Huskies' next opponent is the Idaho Vandals. The Huskies haven't lost to the Vandals in over a century, and have never lost to them at Husky Stadium - but the Huskies have never faced UI riding a 15-game losing streak either, so this week holds intrigue on a number of fronts. The two mix it up at Husky Stadium Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
