Dizon, Grevsgaard Earn CUSPY Top Honors

A dozen major awards were presented Tuesday night at the Coors Events Center as the University of Colorado honored its best at the eighth annual CUSPY Awards (CU Sports Performers of the Year). Jordon Dizon and Maria Grevsgaard took top honors as CU's male and female athletes of the year.

Cantrell Getting Comfortable at Fullback

Sophomore Maurice Cantrell had been buried on the depth chart at linebacker since coming to Colorado in 2004 out of Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. That changed in recent weeks after he made a switch from linebacker. Then in a recent practice, Cantrell served notice he had arrived in his new position.

Buffs Land Iowa Standout

<a href="http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=624134">Maurice Cantrell</a> decided that he did not want to think about his decision anymore so he sat down the other night and let it be known of his intentions to come to Colorado for his college ball. Maurice had 105 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions this year. One of which he took to the house. Cantrell earned first team all-state honors for his accomplishments. He chose the Buffs over the home-state Cyclones.
