The University of Pittsburgh run to the Sweet 16 abruptly came to an end in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Bradley University topped the Pitt 72-66.

Local Kids Named All-Conference - II

N.Y., N.J. and Conn. natives have been named to four of six BCS' all-conference teams (ACC later): Big East, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC with the bulk (logically) in the Big East. UConn's Hilton Armstrong is that league's Defensive Player of the Year and Eric Ferguson is the SEC Sixth Man of the Year.

Undefeated Pitt kept their record perfect at 6-0 as the Panthers won the 2005 City Game, dropping Duquesne (1-3), 71-60, Wednesday night at DU's Palumbo Center.

Dukes Host Pitt in Annual City Game Wed.

The undefeated Pittsburgh Panthers head to the Palumbo Center for a Wednesday game with the Dukes. Pitt (5-0) trounced Auburn, 78-41, on Sunday while Duquesne (1-3) picked up their first win by topping Robert Morris 73-58 Saturday. The game will be telecast by Fox Sports Pittsburgh.
