With Tyrone Moss still recovering from an ACL injury, a trio of tailbacks took the stage in the spring and all of them had their moments.
Running back Andrew Johnson has impressed head coach Larry Coker this spring. Johnson entered the spring fourth on the depth chart at tailback, but is putting together a solid spring to help him earn carries in 2006.

Sophomore running back Andrew Johnson (Pittsburgh, Pa.) suffered a torn ACL in December 2004. His availability of the season is unknown, but Johnson updates his status.

If sophomore running back Andrew Johnson had not torn his ACL before the Peach Bowl last season, he would have been battling for the starting running back position. Johnson brings a combination of speed and power on the field that Miami is used to having at running back. Johnson recently spoke about his recovery and when he expects to be back.
