Is Tulsa getting Bower?

Leading one of the top JC programs in the country this past season, Bakersfield QB Jacob Bower (6-4, 235) was one of the top two-year signal-callers on teams' lists this past season. He committed to Tulsa before Christmas break and he'll be in for his official visit this weekend to make sure he made the right decision.

Plans on hold for Bower

The top-rated JC team for most of the year was Bakersfield College and the leader on the field for the Renegades was QB Jacob Bower (6-4, 235). He is one of the top quarterback prospects in the country and has received a lot of interest, but a visit that was set up for this weekend has been rescheduled and he's starting to look at some other programs as well.

One of the top JC signal-callers in the country this year is Bakersfield's Jacob Bower (6-4, 235). His prototypical size and arm have become a hot commodity over the past few weeks as two D-1 schools have stepped up with offers and a couple of other BCS schools have made contact as well. Bower told the attention is nice, but what's really on his mind is this week's game.

QB Jacob Bower (6-4, 235) is the leader of the powerful Renegade offense and he spoke recently with about his long road to playing JC ball and where things stand on the recruiting front.

Cougar Conversation: Our Time Will Come

Of the 120 athletes on BYU's football roster, less than a third practice with serious expectations of seeing the field on the next game day. Many of the remaining 80 athletes are underclassmen who back up talented seniors. Quarterbacks Jacob Bower and Max Hall are two such players. Andrew George and Chris Bolden made it into games this season but are not yet featured players.

TBS Practice Report: Day 12

BYU fans got another chance to come out and watch the football team practice this morning. Players stayed after to sign autographs for kids and even a couple adults. During practice, the offense added a few new wrinkles, but the defense handled every new look the offense gave them and sent the message that they are ready for whatever opponents will throw at them.

BYU's Fab Four Start their Cougar Careers

This fall, BYU's practice field will be home to one of the most highly touted quarterback groups ever to gather in Provo. With two senior quarterbacks as mentors, three true freshmen, James Lark, Jacob Bower, Sam Doman, and one red shirt freshman, Max Hall, will vie for the most tradition-rich quarterback position in the country.
