Left-hander Brian Burres has agreed to a Minor League deal with the Pirates that includes an invitation to Spring Training.

When he beat the Cardinals on Tuesday, lefty Brian Burres evened his record at 4-4. If he wins Sunday's season finale against Florida, Burres would be the only member of the Pirates' rotation to finish with a winning record. The Pirates have won four of his five starts. Burres has served as an innings-eater. He is making rather loud statement that management surely is heeding going into 2011.

To make room for Hayden Penn, Rodrigo Lopez has been moved to the bullpen. The Orioles didn't stop there, however, making a flurry of other roster moves as well.

All I can say is that we put together these rankings early in the offseason. That's why Brian Burres, who was acquired by the Baltimore Orioles last month, makes it into the Top 20 despite being no longer on the team.

Burres won twelve games while losing just one in his second season with the San Jose Giants. His ERA was below 3.00 for the first time in his minor league career and he struck out nearly one batter an inning in 2004.
