As reported last week, the Jim Kleinsasser injury and Byron Chamberlain suspension have left the Vikes crippled at the TE spot. That took an ugly turn Friday, as that depletion forced a cut to field a team at the position.
The Vikings offense is predicated around Randy Moss. But finding more balance has become one of the main offensive keys.
Brett Favre may have said it best after the Packers were clobbered by the Jets during the seasons final contest; for a team with the second best record in the NFC the Pack was not a very good. They had major holes to fill, yet a limited number of early round picks to fill them with.
Next week, the NFL owners will gather to discuss several topics. VU has been told of many of the public front-burner issues, but also of a back-burner issue of more importance to Vikings fans than the rest.
