INJURY UPDATE: Bye week pay-off

Tuesday afternoon's practice was one of the best for Idaho in weeks, as a number of Vandals who had been recovering from injuries earlier in the season made their way back to the gridiron. Among the group seeing significant action was redshirt sophomore wide receiver LEE SMITH.

FALL CAMP News and Notes

With true freshman SHILOH KEO hitting the Moscow campus this summer/fall and claiming the starting Strong Safety position, most of the Vandal depth chart appears to be taking form. Despite some key personnel losses this offseason, a stellar recruiting class by former coach Nick Holt and the return of Dennis Erickson appears to have the Vandals in good shape for the 2006 season.

A cornerback with outstanding instincts, REGGIE JONES has seen significant playing time - when healthy - since joining the program in 2004. Both his freshman and sophomore seasons were cut short by injury, but the junior has put his game together and is coming off a phenominal offseason. We caught up with Idaho's starting left cornerback today to get his thoughts on the upcoming season.

Mid-Term Report: The Vandal Defense

Idaho's cornerbacks, including junior-to-be REGGIE JONES, have had a remarkable spring camp and we attribute their success to two things (at least partially, from our vantage point). First, the corners themselves are playing well. And second, the defensive line is creating havoc across the entire defensive front.
