Huskers finish practices for the week

The Huskers went inside Hawks Championship Indoor Center as the work on fundamentals continue as does the progression into the preparation for the Colorado Buffaloes. The Huskers went into today's practice with some injury questions, one with their starting running back and the other, their starting QB.

Practice continues, but without Joe Ganz

Nebraska went inside Hawks Championship Indoor Center as practices continue through the bye-week as the Huskers prepare for the season-ending match up with the Colorado Buffaloes. So many questions about so many things, the one on the tip of everyone's tongue today was "where's Joe?"

Ganz Named Offensive Player of the Week

Nebraska senior quarterback Joe Ganz has been named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in leading the Huskers to a 56-28 victory over Kansas State on Saturday. Ganz accounted for 365 yards of total offense, including 270 passing yards and 95 rushing yards. He also threw for two touchdowns, while running for a pair of fourth-quarter scores.

Jayhawks in Corn Country

It's been a tale of two Nebraska Cornhusker teams this year. Nebraska (5-4, 2-3) blew out Iowa State in Ames and beat a Baylor team that put a scare into Missouri by double-digits. The ‘Huskers also came within a breath of beating undefeated Texas Tech in Lubbock, pushing that game into overtime. But that same team lost to Virginia Tech in Lincoln and was blown out by Missouri and Oklahoma.

Going in the right direction

In a world of coaches where you hardly ever hear coaches say one player is truly the guy, it has to be gratifying for senior QB Joe Ganz when Bo Pelini said just that following the Spring game. The game itself wasn't a thing of beauty, but for Ganz, who had two touchdown throws and 131 yards on just nine attempts, it wasn't bad. It's a good step toward the Fall.
