Having lost two wide receivers to the first round of the NFL Draft, the Buckeyes are counting on two fourth-year juniors to step up and become team leaders. Devon Lyons and Albert Dukes are both hoping that this season is finally their time to shine.

The 2007 preseason depth chart is just a starting point when it comes to which players might see the field come September, but it does yield some interesting information. A number of players could be labeled as surprises, but the elder Ohio State players say everyone on the depth chart is ready to fill their roles.

After taking an official visit to each of his top three schools, Wesley Lyons claims that he has no clear favorite at this time and plans to sit down with his family after his season is over to see which of the three schools is the best option for him at the next level. The best chance for early playing time seems to be his number one criteria right now but a good relationship with his brother and some of the other receivers at Ohio State could go a long way in the end as well.

He has no scholarship from Ohio State at this time but Wesley Lyons has his big brother's school right at the top of his list at the very beginning of the next recruiting season. It's up to Ohio State now if they remain there as other big-time programs will be on him to be in their 2006 recruiting class.
