Morris Almond of Rice scored seven of his 24 points in overtime to lead Team Six to a 103-100 win over Team Three at the Orlando pre-draft camp. Almond made nine of 15 shots from the field and all four free throw attempts. Team Three fell to 0-2 with the loss.

Nik Caner-Medley Scores 22 in Orlando Opener

Nik Caner-Medley of Maryland finished with a game-high 22 points to lead Team Six to a 80-76 win over Team Five in the opening game of the Orlando pre-draft camp. Caner-Medley was eight of twelve from the field and was five of six from the line in the win.

Taj Gray Named the Big 12 Preseason POY

Senior forward Taj Gray (Oklahoma) has been named the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year, it was announced. Guard Michael Neal (Oklahoma) and forward Mario Boggan (Oklahoma State) shared Preseason Newcomer of the Year accolades, while forward Julian Wright (Kansas) was tabbed as Freshman of the Year. Players honored in preseason voting were selected by the league head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.

JC standout Taj Gray commits to Oklahoma

6-9 power forward Taj Gray of Redlands (OK) CC has committed to Oklahoma. He was a second team NJCAA All-American last year after averaged 15.3 points and 8.9 rebounds a game. Gray led Redlands to a 32-3 mark and a spot in the NJCAA Tournament and he was named as the Region II Most Valuable Player.
