Taylor to Transfer from Texas

Mack Brown confirmed Tuesday that Texas running back Ramonce Taylor will transfer to another school. Taylor, who was dismissed from the team earlier this year because of academic problems, was charged with possession of over four pounds of marijuana on May 15th and had not officially been reinstated to the team.

RB Ramonce Taylor was charged Monday morning with possession of marijuana "under five pounds", a state jail felony, according to Bell County Sheriff Dan Smith. If convicted, Taylor faces a jail sentence of up to two years and a $10,000 fine.

Several news outlets, including the Associated Press and the Austin American-Statesman, reported Sunday afternoon that UT junior-to-be running back Ramonce Taylor was arrested early Sunday morning in Bell County after sheriff's deputies said they found about five pounds of marijuana in a backpack in his car.
