Injuries still a question for Kansas game

Nebraska returned to the field today, this time inside Hawks Championship Indoor Center . It's just a few days away before the trip down to Lawrence to face the top 10 Jayhawks. It's no time for questions about who is playing, but that's just what Nebraska has right now, and at some key positions.

Lots to improve upon

After a game like Ball State, some would say that you should just tear the defense apart and rebuild. Going into conference play, that's obviously not going to happen, nor should it. Defensive Coordinator Kevin Cosgrove talked to after practice about what they need to fix and what they are facing when Iowa State arrives. One-on-One with Lance Brandenburgh

You could call him the most versatile linebacker on the team. Lance Brandenburgh can play every LB spot on the field, and as he has proven time in and time out, very well indeed. He may not be the most used player in the group, but he's certainly one of its most productive. It allows him to be one of the most valuable players for the big red. Enjoy this one-on-one with LB, Lance Brandenburgh.

Lance Brandenburgh ready to go

Believe it or not, there was a question as to whether or not it would be Corey McKeon starting at middle this year. Lance Brandenburgh was doing anything and everything he could to make sure that his name was mentioned just as much as the current starter, when talking about who should take that spot. Inuries took the opportunity away, however, leaving Brandenburgh healing instead of fighting for that top spot.

Scout TV: 1 on 1 with the Huskers

Lance Brandenburgh's story goes like many: Get to school, work hard, learn as much as you can as fast as you can and try for a spot on the field, hopefully one day becoming a starter. Through all of that, Lance has managed to find himself amongst that list of top prospects for the first or second spot on the depth chart at middle linebacker. Now, his focus is just on sealing the deal, all the way into fall.
