In this edition of mid-season Top-50 review, we take a look at how our 31-40 selections from our preseason Top-50 have fared so far in 2009. We take a look at some highlights from the first half, as well as how it has affected their stock.
New Britain struggled through the month of July, putting together an 11-18 record, as they got just could not get all their starters on track at the same time. They did get some great efforts from some prospects, as they look to gain some ground in August.
As the month of June starts, the Rock Cats look to continue where they left off in May. Overall, they were 16-13, which was good enough to move them past Portland and New Hampshire into third place in the Northern Division of the Eastern League. They currently sit 2.5 games behind their in-state rival, the Connecticut Defenders.
Ryan Mullins bounced back from his 0-5 start with a solid performance on the mound Friday night as the New Britain Rock Cats shut out the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston) 6-0.
