April is usually a month where teams try to find their legs. The Twins, however, got out to a sprinting start to the 2010 season, thanks to some great pitching, and timely hitting. Francisco Liriano found his old form, Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer are killing the ball, and the bullpen has been lights out.

The Minnesota Twins got off to a fast start to the 2010 season this week, taking three of four games from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. After a sub-par effort from starter Scott Baker in game one, the Twins got great starting pitching from Nick Blackburn, Carl Pavano, and Kevin Slowey, and have taken first place in the AL Central going into the season's first weekend.

That the Arizona Diamondbacks would make trades three weeks prior to the July 31 trade deadline is not a surprise. It is a little surprising, however, that they would deal Tony Pena, a reliever long thought to be the future closer of the organization who will not be free agent eligible for another three years. What does this mean for subsequent deals over the next three weeks?
