John Lindsey whacked a grand slam and drove in six as Albuquerque rolled up a 16-6 win at Memphis. Alberto Bastardo struck out 11 and shortstop Dee Gordon doubled, homered, scored two runs and drove in one as Chattanooga edged Jacksonville 2-1. Inland Empire fell never caught up, losing a 4-3 decision to Bakersfield. Great Lakes managed only two hits against Lake County and were shut-out 2-0.

Albuquerque buried New Orleans under a 21-hit attack and won 13-5. Chattanooga left 13 on base and lost to Tennessee 15-9. Hong-Chih Kuo helped Inland Empire to a 9-4 win over Modesto and 20-year-old Allen Webster won his second game as Great Lakes edged South Bend 2-1.

Dodger minor league teams all lost one-run decisions on Tuesday wit Albuquerque losing 8-7 in the ninth, Inland Empire dropping a 4-3 decision to High Desert and Great Lakes suffering a sweep after a 2-1 loss to Lansing. Chattanooga had the day off.
