One of the biggest shots Patrick Sparks has made at Kentucky is the one against Michigan State in last year's Elite Eight that kept alive the Wildcats' hopes for making the Final Four. However, because UK lost that game in double overtime, that's not a shot Sparks likes to remember as his collegiate career draws to an end.

Patrick Sparks handled things from the outside and Randolph Morris dominated play in the paint, as the Kentucky Wildcats used a strong 54-point second half to cruise to a much-needed SEC road win over the South Carolina Gamecocks.

VAUGHT: Smith liked Sparks' aggressive play

One would think when Patrick Sparks made seven turnovers in Wednesday's win over Georgia that UK coach Tubby Smith would have been livid with his senior guard. Instead, Smith found a lot to like about Sparks' play that produced 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting, five assists, six rebounds and two steals in a team-high 32 minutes.

Cats halt three game skid, beat Georgia 68-61

Kentucky big men Randolph Morris and Sheray Thomas combined for 25 points and the Wildcats dominated the Georgia Bulldogs on the boards, enabling UK to avoid a four game losing streak. The Cats went to 16-9 overall, 6-5 in the SEC, by beating Georgia (14-10, 4-7 SEC) by the final score of 68-61.

You've heard of "Rupp's Runts?" Well tonight it was "Tubby's Tots" that played some critical minutes against Mississippi State, extending a 9-point half-time lead and holding off the Bulldogs 81-66.
