What's happened to Rekalin Sims? Surely you remember him. He's the junior college transfer who seemed to be making such an easy transition to Tubby Smith's style of play and was going to provide the frontcourt scoring and rebounding that Kentucky desperately needed this year.

Sheray Thomas had one of his best games as a Wildcat against the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday. The performance may have surprised some, but Sheray's teammates report that he plays much better in practice than he has shown in games, including the Louisville victory. Thomas looks to build on his performance.

The Kentucky Wildcats gave its fans an early Christmas present by soundly beating their arch-rivals, the formerly undefeated 4th ranked Louisville Cardinals, 73-61. Sophomore sensation Rajon Rondo led the Wildcats with 25 points. Power forward Shraye Thomas added 11 points, 6 rebounds and Lukasz Obrzut chipped in with 9 rebounds for the Cats, who improved their record to 7-3.

The Kentucky coaching staff is not expecting their pair of seven foot juniors, Shagari Alleyne and Lukasz Obrzut, to do things they cannot do. What the staff does expect is for the duo to become more consistent in doing the things they can.
