Several Cats out for spring

The Wildcats will be missing a few players as they head into spring practice. Three players will be held out of drills due to "personal issues:, while four others will be limited due to injuries.

Spring Review: Defensive Ends

The Wildcats look solid at defensive end. They have four good players currently on the roster and four more talented players will join the team in the fall. The Wildcats desperately need a pass rush and seem poised to get if from the bunch they have in place.

Lots of things are happening with the football team. The Cats had another two practice day and a few key players are healing up. One key player returned to action and a promising walk-on change positions.

A Look Ahead: Defensive Ends

The Cats did not get a great pass rush a year ago. Certainly, not all of that was on the defensive ends, but having great pass rushers on the corner can help. The Cats lose Andre Torrey, but not much else.

Shelton officially Zona bound

Entering the holiday quiet period with just three scholarships left to give is a completely new ideal in Arizona Football recruiting. Never, and I mean NEVER, has the Arizona Football program been in this situation before. The recruiting game at Arizona has always been a January heavy venture for previous coaching staffs.

Shelton to Commit to Wildcats (free content)

<a href="">Michael Shelton</a> recorded 115 tackles, 20 sacks, five forced fumbles, and one batted pass this year. He was named first team all-league and all-CIF for his efforts. Shelton is pretty much set on becoming a Wildcat and even knows when he'll commit.
