PULLMAN—With the mercury down at the lower end of the guage, and for the first time this season, Washington State held practice in "The Bubble," the school's indoor practice facility in which the baseball and track teams see far more practice time than the footballers.

Cougs looking to get healthy in a hurry

PULLMAN -- To say that Washington State's team is banged-up ranks right up there with "Reggie Bush is somewhat elusive," as one of college football's colossal understatements. It's early in the week, but on the Tuesday before a road game against Bush and No. 1 Southern Cal this Saturday, WSU has compiled a trainer's room full of injuries to key players on both sides of the ball.

PULLMAN -- With only their helmets for protection, the Cougars faced rain for the first time in several weeks on Thursday, as the team put its finishing touches on the game plan for Oregon State. It was a day that saw one injured defensive back return to the field, another defensive back that might be on the move, and a few NFL scouts who were on hand to watch it all.

Questions on the corner as OSU looms

PULLMAN – A position that has been especially strong at Washington State in recent years is suddenly unsettled as the Cougars head into their first Pac-10 test of the 2005 season. With starter Omowale Dada nursing a sprained knee and top backup Don Turner battling back spasms, cornerback will be a big question mark when the Cougars face All-American receiver Mike Hass and the Oregon State Beavers this Saturday.
