Vanderbilt quarterback Chris Nickson will put on the Black and Gold for the final time before the Music City Bowl on New Years Eve. Nickson, who has been up and down throughout his career at VU, has a chance to be the first quarterback to lead Vanderbilt to a bowl win since Don Orr did it in 1955.

The Vanderbilt Commodores fell short of their sixth win for the fourth straight time Saturday night with a 42-14 loss to the fourth ranked Florida Gators. Vandy did exactly what they had hoped to avoid by digging themselves a 21-0 hole at the end of the first quarter.

Vanderbilt Looks Impressive in First Game

The Commodores' new uniforms were far from the only thing on display Thursday night in Oxford, Ohio as the Vanderbilt offense overcame an early Jeff Jennings fumble to hang 17 points on the RedHawks in the first quarter and cruise to an eventual 34-13 win.
