Omar Vizquel reminded Indians fans what they've missed Tuesday. He didn't get a hit and still helped the San Francisco Giants to a 3-2 win in his first game in Cleveland since 2004. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer had a suicide-squeeze bunt and made one of his usually fine defensive plays in the Giants' first game in Cleveland since they completed a four-game sweep of the 1954 World Series.

Last season, the San Francisco Giants finished in the NL West cellar. They have lost many of their best offensive players, including some guy named Barry Bonds, and have made scant few additions to offset their losses. Just how poorly will the 2008 Giants finish?

The Giants signed Omar Vizquel and Mike Matheny primarily to help their defense over the middle. The Giants took some criticism for signing older players for that regard, but for at least the 2005 season, the Giants got some vindication when both of the former Gold Glove winners got the trophies again.
