Fisher Filling the Void

BUFFALO, NY - The job of a minor league utility player is to be ready at any time to play where and when needed. For Buffalo infielder Michael Fisher, that sentiment has never been truer than in the last few weeks. Fisher, who has played at every long-season level since joining the organization in 2010, is now in Buffalo, filling the void of those called up to New York.

Georgia Tech 10, Georgia Southern 2

Eddie Burns continued his dominance of in-state teams by pitching eight innings and giving up only one earned run as the Jackets pounded out a 10-2 win over Georgia Southern. Burns pitched a complete game shut out against Georgia State last week. Danny Payne and Michael Fisher led the Jacket attack with three hits apiece. The three hits for Fisher gives him ten in the last four games.
