A walk-on possibility

One Pennsylvania lineman we are very high on is Altoona's Zach Haulman. Apparently new offensive line coach Paul Dunn is as well. Haulman was invited to Pittsburgh this weekend for an unofficial visit, and a chance to meet Dave Wannstedt. If all goes well, Haulman may be offered a chance to come to Pittsburgh as a preferred walk-on.

Walt Harris Football Camp: Offensive Line

The one unit that has caused lots of concern for Panther fans has to be the offensive line. Only two solid starters return from last season. Everybody's pre-season All-America, OT Rob Petitti, returns for his senior season. The other returning starter is OG John Simonitis, a mauler who improved steadily last fall as each game played. Hopefully Matt Maiers, Rob Fredrick, or Justin Belarski can step up.

Haulman clears the air

As a member of the media, my main job is to get a story. I for one take an honest approach at my job and write only what I am told by the person whom I interview. Apparently, there are some out there in my line of work that don't believe in this practice.
