ATHENS – Jeremy Lomax was considered a project when he was being recruited by the Bulldogs in 2004. Unfortunately, not much has happened to change that label since he arrived on campus. Depth and injuries have limited Lomax's time on the playing field, and now, after adding weight, he's fighting to get onto the field as much as possible in 2006.

Each year spring practice is the best indication of the depth, starters, and players at each position on the team. Even with Georgia's personnel losses due to graduation and the NFL, the Bulldogs are strong at many positions, and defensive end is one of them. Like the rest of the defensive line, it is one of the strengths of the Bulldogs going into this spring, even with the departure of three-time All-American David Pollack to the NFL.
