The Cincinnati infield has fewer questions on who will man the positions than any other aspects of their roster this offseason. Well, make that “fewer questions on whom they HOPE man the positions.” Contract extensions continue to lock in personnel and the Reds hope they will return to good health as they attempt to return to contention in 2015.

Now that the Mackovic era is over and Mike Stoops has taken the reins in Tucson, much more will be expected from this program in distress. The Wildcats roster is filled with marginal college talent and this will be reflective next year as only a few Arizona seniors are selected in the NFL draft, most in the very late rounds.

Brandon Phillips gets one last chance at a bowl game. Phillips though his collegiate career was over when a knee injury ended his senior season. He was prepared to go on to the NFL, but was awarded a rare sixth year of eligibility.

Offensive line is a key unit for the Wildcat football team. The offense has playmakers but needs production from the guys up-front if they want to succeed. Injuries and player attrition has really hurt the unit, but this year they have depth and seem to be healthy.

Believe it or not Brandon Phillips is a lucky guy. Sure he played five years at a D-I school and never participated in a bowl game. He came in as a highly-touted defensive lineman, but was converted to the offensive line after a coaching change. He was a promising NFL prospect, but that all came crashing down when he blew out his knee and missed most of his senior year.
