Buschmann's best; Deago strike three

Clay Hensley is ping-ponged again in a loss while the defense in Portland falls to shambles. Roger Deago struck out eight over the first three innings. Matt Buschmann was at his finest and almost went the distance. Andy Underwood was shelled for season-highs. Why run on Shane Buschini – his arm has already proved worthy.

Craig Stansberry delivers; John Hussey debuts

Craig Stansberry continues to rake – hitting two homers – and Vince Sinisi is not far behind. Roger Deago had a dominant outing and was pretty good at the dish too. Brent Carter was impressive, winning his fourth straight. John Hussey debuts in Fort Wayne but the Wizards offense is stale in a doubleheader.

Cesar Carrillo wins again; Fabian Jimenez hot

Adam Eaton completed his last rehab start and the Portland offense was flying high. Cesar Carrillo was more dominant than his numbers. And Mike Richardson was on the mound for the third time this year. Arturo Lopez was smoked again. Matt Bush accomplished a feat for the second time this year. Fabian Jimenez is on track again and Adam Gold has settled down. Scott Fogleson gets the complete game and Javis Diaz hits a grand slam. There was also a Roger Deago sighting.

Some rewarded, others not as starters flourish

Xavier Nady hit another home run while Tim Stauffer took just his second loss. Roger Deago was superb on the mound – in what is becoming the norm. Jared Wells was roughed up but the blame falls on the failing defense again. Travis Chick is at it again in Fort Wayne and is becoming the ace of the staff. Mike Ekstrom had his best outing of the year but has nothing to show for it. Adam Kroft is stringing together a number of good outings as a starter with Peoria.
