Clippers, Captains Win Playoff Openers

Luke Carlin hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Columbus a 6-4 win in its first playoff game Wednesday night in the Triple-A International League. Kinston got 11 hits, but lost its postseason opener, 3-2 in the Class A Carolina League, but Lake County used a three-run seventh inning to earn a 4-2 victory in its first playoff game in the Class A Midwest League.
