Snyder, Barrow and Smith earn All-WAC Honors

For the second year in a row, middle linebacker Cole Snyder earned First Team All Conference honors, including this year as a First Team All WAC selection. Statistically one of the most productive linebackers in America the last two seasons, the former walkon from Kamiah made the absolute most of his Idaho career. Two juniors were also named to the two-deep roster, with kicker/punter Mike Barrow also earning First Team honors while wide receiver D.J. Smith was named to the Second Team.

PHOTO GALLERY: Idaho vs. La Tech

Idaho had some outstanding moments in their near-upset of Louisiana Tech in The Dome. Among the highlights was senior Herb Cash (#2 in photo) scooping up a blocked field goal at the Idaho 20-yard line and returning 80 yards to the house. This may be the first time Idaho has ever returned a blocked field goal for a score, and was an appropriate way for the senior starting cornerback to leave his stamp on the Idaho program.

Resilient Vandals Fall Short

On a night in which junior field goal kicker Mike Barrow rewrote much of Idaho's single-season record book, including connecting on 5 attempts in the game and converting a 53-yard attempt, Idaho (2-4 WAC, 2-7) lost to Louisiana Tech (5-1 WAC, 6-3) by a final score of 41 – 38 in a battle that was not decided until the last few seconds of the game.
