All-Stater Julian Bruce bigger than Mkristo

ONLY IN A DRIVING rain and wearing a pair of combat boots could Mkristo Bruce, one of the great sack masters in Washington State history, hope to tip the scales at 270 pounds. Not so with his “little” brother, Julian Bruce, a two-way standout at Class 2A state runner up Liberty High in Renton. The all-class All-State defensive lineman and all-league offensive lineman is already pushing 290.

FORMER WSU sackmaster Mkristo Bruce is livin' large. The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed him to a two-year contract. And he and wife Evelyn are expecting child No. 2. "We are a Coug family all the way," Mkristo tells CF.C. "My wife and I graduated from Wazzu and our son Mkristo Jr. was born in Pullman -- we gotta figure out a way to have our next child in Pullman to keep the tradition going!"
