Anthony Parks May Play Saturday

Oklahoma State wide receiver Anthony Parks, who learned just two weeks ago that he has just one kidney and was forced to quit playing football, could possibly play in the Cowboys' season opener against Missouri State on Saturday, Cowboy head coach Mike Gundy said Monday night after practice. Parks practiced for about 45 minutes Monday.

Parks' Career Ends Because Of Only One Kidney

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy announced after practice Thursday night that wide receiver Anthony Parks, a junior college transfer from Butler (Kan.) Community College, would no longer be allowed to play football. Parks was found to only have one kidney.

Butler Community College wideout Anthony Parks wanted to get noticed. A little slight coming out of Olathe East high school, Parks felt that he had something to prove. On to junior college, Butler his next step and from that point to now, he'd say he's done what he can. It succeeded as Parks is getting noticed, the offers are coming and schools are taking a harder look.
