The Sugar Land Skeeters have been providing former Padres players with a chance to stay in professional baseball since 2012.
Another strong night for the system as the T-Pads, Storm and TinCaps win. The Missions split a double-header and Tim Stauffer takes the honors as tonight's top pitcher.
As will be the story for much of this season three very good pitching performances by Donn Roach, Matt Wisler and Joe Ross. Offensively Tommy Medica picks up where he left off in San Antonio.
Synopsis: This is a classic Triple-A team with some prospects, others that are blocked and some guys trying to work their way back. The thin desert air and near cement infield at Kino Stadium in the summer months make this very much a hitter's paradise but not as much as some of the other stadiums in the PCL South.
Josh Geer turned in one of the system's best performances of the year in San Antonio. Matt Wisler had his stuff working but the TinCaps couldn't hold on. Eugene pounds their way to a season-high run total in a laugher.

A pair of solid rehab performances aren't enough for Tucson. The Missions and Storm both kicked the ball around on the way to losses. Joe Ross and Austin Hedges give the Bruins reason to weep on a Friday night.
