As if the season wasn't already off to a bad start, reports indicate even worse news is on the way. According to Bill Ferris of Detroit Tigers Weblog, Jeremy Bonderman had an angioplasty early Saturday morning to remove a blood clot. Bonderman will miss the remainder of the season.

Just over a week ago, the Tigers came to terms on a contract extension with third baseman Brandon Inge, helping to avoid arbitration and keep Inge entrenched at third. On Monday, it was announced that the Tigers will keep a prized arm out of arbitration and in the ‘ol English ‘D' for at least four more years, extending right-hander Jeremy Bonderman.
