Despite losing their ace shooter in a game-time decision, the Cal State Fullerton Men's Basketball team kicked off the spring semester with a bang, defeating the Highlanders of UC Riverside 72-61 Wednesday night in the Titan Gym.

Cal State Fullerton is a 12 point favorite as they attempt to win their first three conference games of the year, a feat which hasn't been done since 1983-84 when they won their first four conference games. The Titans are 9-4 (2-0) while the Mustangs have struggled to a 6-8 (1-1) record.

Titans Wrap Up Road Swing at Central Michigan

Mt. Pleasant, MI - One more out-of-state non-conference game awaits the Titans before they return to Titan Gym for the first time in five weeks for a 3-game homestand. Fullerton plays at Central Michigan on Saturday before taking a week off for final exams. The Chippewas were a pre-season favorite to win their division of the Mid-American Conference but they are off to a 1-5 start.

With senior Scott Cutley out 4-6 more weeks with a broken ankle, look for an improved -- and healthy -- Marcus Morgan to take over at the four spot.

2006-07 Preview: Wings

Cal State Fullerton's two and three spots are little bit fuzzy because so many players can play in different positions. Scott Cutley will like start at the four but is included here because he will be playing at the wing from time-to-time and these position are so thin, numbers-wise. Marcus Crenshaw will also be seeing most of his playing time at the wing so he is included a second time.
