Mets report: Heredia tosses again

The Mets put together an intrasquad game in the morning to get work for several relief pitchers. Braden Looper and Mike DeJean each went two innings. Heath Bell, Bartolome Fortunato, Roberto Hernandez, Scott Stewart and Scott Strickland also pitched. <P> But all eyes were on Felix Heredia. The lefty set-up man has not pitched in a game since March 2 as he recovers from a circulation problem.

Pedro to take on Cardinals

After rain washed away the Mets' Tradition Field home opener on Thursday, the Mets will take a trip down I-95 to meet the St. Louis Cardinals in Jupiter, Fla. for Pedro Martinez's first spring start. <P> Martinez, who defeated the Cardinals in Game 3 of the 2004 World Series, will take the hill for the Mets' second game of the spring at 1:05 p.m.
