When the New Jersey Nets come to an NBA city, the stars of their team that immediately come to mind are Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson, and Vince Carter. Each of the three have been Olympians, and they've earned multiple all-star berths, and hundreds of millions of dollars in salary. One player that gives the Nets a major spark is rookie power forward, Sean Williams.

The last time Boston College had a stellar one-two scoring combo in their backcourt was a few years ago when Troy Bell and Ryan Sidney patrolled the Heights. The reason I bring this up is that fans might be reminded of that old combo when Virginia's Sean Singletary and J.R. Reynolds come to Conte Forum to play on Saturday.

Boston College head coach Al Skinner's former protégé game him a run for his money Sunday. But thanks to a late, 13-0 run by the Eagles, highlighted by the clutch shooting of sophomore point guard Tyrese Rice (24 points), Skinner survived a second-half run by Bill Coen's Northeastern Huskies to claim an 87-82 victory at Conte Forum.
