Film Room: Stopping The Saints Ain't Easy

The Broncos defense faces yet another stiff test. This week, they'll be tasked with stopping Drew Brees and the Saints offense on the road. Josh Carney turns to the film room to isolate what makes New Orleans so dangerous and how the Broncos can stop them.

Saints Name Surprising, Yet Deserving MVPs

Today, at the Touchdown Club's "Meet the Saints" luncheon in Downtown New Orleans' Sheraton Hotel, the team announced its three Most Valuable Players from the 2015 season. One from the offense, the defense and the special teams. And while all three selections were highly deserving, they could also be considered as mild surprises to some...however, I think these were the best choices. To see who they are, please check out the accompanying video...

Jake Hanson Quiet But Effective

Oregon has been picked in many pre-season polls to finish third in the Pac-12 North this season, but when you talk to the Oregon players, you get the feeling they believe the Ducks will do much better that. Much better in fact. Redshirt freshman center Jake Hanson, is the starter this year, is a man of few words, until he's asked about the Duck offensive line.

'I'm Feeling a Lot More Comfortable'

The New Orleans Saints have had some solid centers over the years, but the position which always seemed to be a strength for the team, had become a glaring weakness in recent years. 'We Are in the Business of Winning'

After the first day of New Orleans Saints Training Camp at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV, center Max Unger relayed an important message from head coach Sean Payton. And I'm pretty sure it's a message that most of the Who Dat Nation is going to love. Don't miss this one!

I heard a lot of folks scoffing when I suggested that getting Max Unger and the Seattle Seahawks 1st round draft choice in exchange for Jimmy Graham in the Spring of 2015, was eventually going to be a big win for the New Orleans Saints. And I feel even stronger about that statement now when I think of Unger's incredible value to the Saints, as well as what Stephone Anthony brings to the defense. And according to this Drew Brees soundbite, he obviously feels the same way about his big center.

Brees Loves His O-Line's Progress

Some things you just can't hide. Last year, listening to Drew Brees in his post game press conferences, it was impossible for the future Hall of Famer to hide his frustration. Brees always seems to have a positive outlook, even in the face of adversity. But the way he gushed about the progress of the Saints offensive line, it was hard to mask his obvious enthusiasm for the group. Here is another great Brees soundbite talking about the entire o-line as a group, and individually as well.
