Patriots Make Roster Moves, Cut Lewis

The New England Patriots filled out their practice squad on Monday by signing seven players. One additional surprise move came when the team released WR Greg Lewis to make room for DB Bret Lockett. The move was more unusual because of how well the staff spoke of Lewis prior to the weekend.

Crable's Season Comes To An End

Whether it's just bad luck or he's actually cursed, Patriots LB Shawn Crable must be wondering what's going on. Crable was one of three players the Patriots placed on the reserve injured list Saturday. Offensive lineman George Bussey and running back Chris Taylor were also placed on I/R. The team also announced 10 roster cuts and a pair of trades.

Wins mean more than records to Nunn

Senior wide receiver Terrence Nunn is closing on what remains of some serious records at Nebraska. Those records, should he achieve them, will have him surpassing Husker legend and former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers. That's good stuff, but for Nunn, the records are for the past. What he's worried about right now is the future.
