Illinois forward Roger Powell pulls out of draft

Illinois forward Roger Powell Jr. has decided to withdraw his name from the 2004 NBA Draft List. Powell averaged 11.6 points and 5.0 rebounds, while shooting 59.5% from the field in 2003-04. The Fighting Illini return all five starters and their top 10 scorers from a 26-7 squad who won the outright Big Ten Championship and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament. Powell did not receive an invite to the Chicago pre-draft camp and was not expected to be drafted on June 24th.
