For the third consecutive year, the Pelicans annual MLK Day appearance had the outcome decided on the last possession of the game. And for the second straight year, the Pelicans came up snake eyes and lost a close game they had a great opportunity to win. The top three scorers and four of the top five scorers in the Orlando Summer League were selected in the recent NBA Draft. Courtney Lee of Orlando averaged 20.2 points per game after scoring a league-best 30 points in the final game. Michael Beasley from Miami and Brook Lopez of New Jersey averaged 19.6 points. Jeff Green of Oklahoma City missed his final game, but scored 91 in his four contests.
