Inside The Unit: Defensive Tackles

Year in and year out we see college recruiters going hard after the best of the best but since the defensive tackle position is not a ‘groomed' position, good tackles are hard to find. Most of the time players are switched to the position. Arizona has had success in rebuilding its defensive tackle unit and entering the 2007 season the Wildcats have their deepest corps at the spot in many years.

Defensive tackle has been a tough spot for the Wildcats. A lack of depth and quality players have left the team vulnerable up front and that has hampered the defense all around. That may be a thing of the past. The team appears to have some depth and talent to shore up the position.
