Three Atlantic 10 Teams Get NCAA Bids

Three Atlantic 10 men's basketball teams received bids to the 2008 NCAA Championship Tournament. Xavier, the regular season champ, is a number 3 seed in the West; Temple which won the A-10's automatic bid last night is a number 12 seed in the South; and Saint Joseph's, the A-10 tournament runner-up, is an 11 seed in the East. Congrats to these programs, the schools and their fans.

Owls Rebound for 69-64 Win & A-10 Title

They shared this year's Big 5 crown; their shooting, rebounding, and points per game numbers are very close; and, they split the two previous regular season games. Not too surprising this Atlantic 10 Championship game was very competitive with Temple pulling out a 69-64 victory over Saint Joseph's, Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

Owls Stop 49ers Comeback for 60-46 A-10 Win

Charlotte, which had rallied for two comeback wins in their previous tourney contests, fell short tonight as the Temple Owls won, 60-45, in the second semifinal of the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship tournament Friday night at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall. The Owls will face Saint Joseph's in the A-10 Championship game, Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.

Tyndale Is On a Roll

Last December, Temple guard Mark Tyndale was on the bench, forced to watch the first six games of the 2006-07 campaign because he didn't get the job done in the classroom. What a difference six months makes. On Tuesday, Tyndale was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, which requires a 3.50 GPA. asked him to brag about his latest accomplishment.
