Byron Smith Interview

It has been a long time since the Wildcats have had a dominant defensive tackle. They've had solid DT's, but how many of them have actually come in as a defensive tackle. Last year, other than Yaniv Barnett, the Wildcat trotted out nothing but converted DE's and TE's. Byron Smith is out to change that.

A Quick Glance: Defensive Tackles

No position has been thinner that past few seasons than defensive tackle. If the Cats are to make a run at a bowl, then they will need the unit to step up. There is are finally bodies in place to make things happen.

Two players still on the radar screen

Signing day came and went, but recruiting has not ended. The Cats have apparently signed a 21st player, but may not be able to add him to the roster just yet. The Cats could add a 22nd player to the class, but they'll have to wait a little longer.

Huskers Set to Host Eight

Nebraska faces its biggest test this weekend in the heated competition for the Big 12 North against rival Kansas State. Recruiting will also be key as the Huskers are set to host eight official visitors.
