Junior guard SHAWN HENDERSON picked up the Vandals when the team was in a bit of a lull, while senior guards Mac Hopson and Steffan Johnson both had career nights for the Vandals. All three joined forces with their teammates to lead Idaho to a victory over Hawaii on Senior Nights, propelling them with a 2-game winning streak heading in tho the WAC Tournament.

Vandals drop Hawaii 78-69 in season finale

IDAHO CAME INTO THIS "SENIOR WEEK" needing to sweep both home games to give the Vandals a .500 record for the season. Thursday night Idaho (15-15, 6-10 WAC) pounded SJSU. Then on Saturday night, riding the wave of senior STEFFAN JOHNSON'S eight 3-pointers (tied for second most in UI history, and the 19th most in the NCAA this year), Idaho beat Hawaii on Senior Night to finish 7th in the WAC.

Sharp-shooting Vandals down Seattle U

After beating Fresno State Thursday night in Moscow, the Vandals (10-10, 2-6 WAC) hit the road Saturday night, facing Seattle University (9-13) at Key Arena in downtown Seattle. The Vandals overcame a stunning season-high 24 turnovers in the game by shooting a red hot 58.3% from the field, 57.1% from the 3-point line, and 74.2% from the free throw line to notch a thrilling 87-85 victory.

Vandals lose both ends of home doubleheader

A very vocal, supportive crowd of over 2,000 was on hand Saturday at the Cowan Spectrum – a large turnout bolstered by a large contingent of elementary school students who were part of the Vandal Readers as Leaders program – and they saw both the Vandal Women and Men drop two very disappointing WAC basketball games that, in retrospect, had a number of similarities.

Vandal Men's Basketball Triumphs in Boise

In front of a boisterous "home" crowd, the Idaho Vandals took down LCSC in front of 4,111 fans at Qwest Arena, notching a 71-52 victory. The Vandals were led by star point guard Mac Hopson (15 points), while senior STEFFAN JOHNSON added 11 points on the evening. Vandal Men Down EWU 76-54

From the friendly confines of historic Memorial Gym on the campus of the University of Idaho, the Vandal men extended their season record to 4-1 on the young season with a dominant victory over Eastern Washington University. The Vandals dominated the boards (40-23), scoring in the paint (30-10), and STEFFAN JOHNSON's 6-of-7 shooting from 3-point land was the third best effort all-time at Idaho.
