Maric Earns First-Team All-District Honors

Nebraska senior center Aleks Maric earned the first of what will likely be several postseason awards. He was selected to the National Assn. of Basketball Coaches All-District First Team earlier this week. Maric is one of five Big 12 players selected to the first team for District 12, joining Kansas' Brandon Rush and Mario Chalmers, Kansas State's Michael Beasley and Oklahoma's Blake Griffin.

Maric Earns Second Weekly Honor of the Season

Senior Aleks Maric was named the Big 12 Conference Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. The Cornhuskers' 6-11, 275-pound center was selected alongside Missouri sophomore J.T. Tiller by a panel of media who regularly covers the conference. Freshman Michael Beasley earned the league's rookie-of-the-week award.

2 Huskers Earn Player of the Week

A pair of Nebraska athletes - senior Aleks Maric and junior Ade Dagunduro - have been chosen as the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week for Dec. 10-16, in voting by a panel of media covering the conference. It is the third career weekly honor for Maric and marks the first time in Big 12 history that NU has earned both accolades in the same week.

Maric Helps Australia into Medal Round

Aleks Maric, a sophomore center on the Nebraska men's basketball team, led the Australian National Team to the medal round of the FIBA U21 World Championships with a perfect 4-0 record after Wednesday's 82-76 victory over host Argentina.
