Marcus Sikes Talks with BCI

As Cincinnati fans watched their Bearcats perform last season in their first year as a member the Big East Conference, it became painfully obvious that having size on the roster was of utmost importance. One player that could help UC in that department for the 2006-2007 campaign is Marcus Sikes from San Jacinto Junior College, although the Deveroes program identified him as "Marvin Sykes."

JC Marcus Sikes Picks Cincinnati over Gophers

Marcus Sikes, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound forward from Mount San Jacinto (Calif.) College, has committed to Cincinnati and will sign his letter of intent today, according to Mount San Jacinto head coach Patrick Springer. Sikes had visited Cincinnati Thursday and Friday and visited Minnesota Saturday and Sunday. He was considering the two schools, along with Bradley. The Gophers are expected to look at juco player Jamar Smith of San Bernadino Valley and Lance Stemler from Southwestern Illinois College.
