Buffs Make Two Position Moves

Looking to add depth to the running back position, and give a former safety a look on the other side of the ball, two CU players were at new positions when Colorado opened August practice Thursday. Charlie Sherman will play wide receiver and Reggie Foster has been moved to tailback.

Coaches Corner: Frank Negri — Foothill HS

Frank Negri played at Oregon State under legendary coach Tommy Prothro back in the 1950s. Since 1965, Negri has been head football coach at Foothill High School in Sacramento, Calif. Negri says that CU verbal commit <a href="http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1050311">Charlie Sherman</a> is among the top five players to play for him over the past 39 years.

CU Commit Promises to Take Part in National Title

<a href="http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=1050311">Charlie Sherman</a> was Colorado's most recent commit and on his visit to Boulder he realized just how big that commitment was and became even more enamored with the Colorado program. After coach Barnett told him that he wanted him to be a part of a national championship run his sophomore season Charlie told him that he will do everything he can to get CU to that point. Buffs Land Sacramento Athlete

Colorado has landed their first pure athlete of the class. With their ninth verbal commitment they picked up the services of <b>Charlie Sherman III</b> out of Foothill High in Sacramento, California. Charlie plays an option quarterback for his school but he has been recruited to CU as a wide receiver or a safety. He is a winner in every sense of the word. As a starter, he has a career record of 38-2 and takes his 10-0 team into the playoffs tomorrow. We spoke with Charlie and his coach.
