Charlie Williams on recruiting

Poor Charlie Williams. The Wildcat receivers coach has had a tough couple of years. Sure he's had players like Syndric Steptoe and Mike Thomas, but he's lacked the tall, athletic, big play receivers that other schools in the Pac-10 have had. Now, he has three freshmen to add to the talented mix of Steptoe, Thomas and a resurgent Anthony Johnson.

Stoops hires three for staff

Arizona coach Mike Stoops announced the third and fourth assistant coaches on his staff. Charlie Williams and Tim Kish will join Stoops, brother Mark and Eric Wolford. Williams coached at South Carolina, while Kish served at Indiana. Stoops also announced a new director of football operations
