Fall Camp Winds Down

The fireworks are finished for Stanford's 2006 preseason training camp with the last scrimmage in the books. But this final week also offered the first scout team work for the Cardinal, which affords us some insights into the depth charts and freshman forecasts of possible playing time this fall. Spring Game Play-by-Play

It was an unusual Spring Game for sure. Not only was the annual public scrimmage to conclude Cardinal spring football held on the practice fields and not in Stanford Stadium, but also there was an array of offensive fireworks in the opening few series. Two Starters Suspended for the Spring

A parting of the skies for some rare sunshine on The Farm today brought smiles to our faces, but a dark cloud hangs over Stanford Football and two of its seniors in particular. A pair of the Cardinal's veteran starters have been suspended by Walt Harris for the spring, and that suspension could carry through the fall. The loss of these two key players is significant, not only in their absence but also in the effect elsewhere on the roster.
