Both starting offensive tackles - Troy Kropog and Scott Holt - missed the game due to injuries. Travis Olexa made his first career start against the Blazers. Olexa replaced Holt at right tackle when the fith-year senior was injured early in the Army game

Enrolled in school as a freshman and redshirted in 2004, although he was originally expected to grayshirt in the fall of 2004 and enroll in school at the beginning of the 2005 spring semester. However, Troy was given the opportunity to report to pre-season camp and enroll in school for the 2004 fall semester.
